Executive Summary

Nike was on a mission to elevate their brand presence during the Final Four NBA basketball tournament with eye-catching basketball hoop replicas. To achieve this, we fabricated and installed these replicas on wallscapes and bulletins at key event locations, significantly boosting brand visibility and engagement.

Nike needed a powerful addition to their existing advertising campaign for the Final Four. They were looking for a solution that would not only create an impactful and visually striking display but also seamlessly integrate with a mesh wallscape to capture attention.

Our Solution

We collaborated with Nike to create oversized NBA basketball hoop replicas that formed the centerpiece of attention-grabbing 3D billboards.

These replicas captured the authentic look and feel of professional hoops on a grand scale, extending beyond the traditional flat billboard surface. The hoops were expertly crafted, bending durable steel rods to replicate the classic shape and sturdiness of real basketball hoops. Each net was meticulously hand-sewn using large-diameter rope to mimic the intricate pattern and texture of an actual net, ensuring every detail was true to the game. The backstops, made from lightweight sheet goods and covered with high-quality printed vinyl, were mounted directly onto wallscapes and bulletins, creating a striking 3D visual impact.

This strategic placement and design added depth and contrast, maximizing visibility and engagement at each location. The project featured a total of four 3D boards, each carefully designed to captivate and resonate with the audience by bringing the basketball hoop into the three-dimensional space.

Results

The replicas effectively communicated Nike’s brand, reinforcing their presence during the Final Four with a unique and memorable outdoor advertising approach. The 3D installations successfully drew attention and encouraged interaction, making Nike’s campaign a standout in the tournament’s advertising landscape by literally extending beyond the boundaries of traditional billboards.
