Coca-Cola aimed to elevate consumer interaction by introducing a one-of-a-kind vending machine that dispenses Coke in exchange for a smile. We brought this vision to life by integrating custom vending mechanisms, refrigeration, electronics, and advanced facial recognition technology, creating a memorable and engaging experience for bus commuters in Chicago.
Coca-Cola wanted to wow consumers with a cool, innovative, and interactive experience that would deepen consumer engagement and strengthen connections with the brand.
We engineered two custom vending machines equipped with refrigeration, electronics, and space to store 100 cans of Coke in a compact 7-inch-deep unit. Each machine featured a facial recognition camera installed at the top of the shelter to detect and capture a smile.
When a customer smiled into the camera, the machine dispensed an ice-cold can of Coca-Cola. These interactive units were strategically placed at bus shelters across Chicago, inviting commuters to engage with the brand in a unique and memorable way.
Coca-Cola saw a significant increase in consumer interactions and brand engagement, leading to enhanced visibility and strengthened consumer loyalty.
