CASE STUDY

havas For Coca Cola

Custom Bus Shelter

Executive Summary

Coca-Cola aimed to elevate consumer interaction by introducing a one-of-a-kind vending machine that dispenses Coke in exchange for a smile. We brought this vision to life by integrating custom vending mechanisms, refrigeration, electronics, and advanced facial recognition technology, creating a memorable and engaging experience for bus commuters in Chicago.

Business Challenge

Coca-Cola wanted to wow consumers with a cool, innovative, and interactive experience that would deepen consumer engagement and strengthen connections with the brand.

Goals & Objectives

  • Create an interactive experience: Design a fun and engaging way for consumers to interact with the Coca-Cola brand.
  • Strengthen customer connections: Foster a deeper emotional connection between consumers and Coca-Cola.
  • Leverage innovative technology: Incorporate cutting-edge technology to enhance the overall experience.

Our Solution

We engineered two custom vending machines equipped with refrigeration, electronics, and space to store 100 cans of Coke in a compact 7-inch-deep unit. Each machine featured a facial recognition camera installed at the top of the shelter to detect and capture a smile.

When a customer smiled into the camera, the machine dispensed an ice-cold can of Coca-Cola. These interactive units were strategically placed at bus shelters across Chicago, inviting commuters to engage with the brand in a unique and memorable way.
